Sydney & Andie
Co-Founders

Sydney Rubens & Andie Meder (left and right, respectively) are sisters and the founders of SSP. They were born in Miami, have backgrounds in education, and have always loved fitness. When they tried pilates with Lagree machines, they were hooked! Their dream is to create a community environment for their daughters to be a part of and to be inspired by.

Jillian Racoosin is our Lead Instructor and the driving force behind The Sculpt Series. Jillian comes with a broad background in group fitness, dance, and training. She supports everyone's pursuit of the movement practices that work for them. When not in the studio, you might find Jillian working in a non-profit that aims to end loneliness or helping engaged couples prepare for their first dance!

In Jillian’s Playlist: in Jillian’s class you can expect to hear your favorite pop divas, drake, and some of her favorite of 90’s child throwbacks!

Jess Hastings joins the SSP team as a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified trainer that brings together a passion for pilates, boxing, and strength training. When not coaching or leading classes, Jess is a software engineer for one of the world’s largest health wearable brands. She can’t wait to meet you where you’re at and help you push past your goals!

In Jess’ playlist: Jess brings the energy to her classes with her favorite remixes & mashups, as well as 2000’s rap!

Erin Gilreath is a recent transplant to Asheville from Portland, though North Carolina is where she’s originally from. She’s classically trained in pilates through the Peak Pilates system, and is a lifelong dancer! She combines her pilates background and love for dance for fun, challenging, engaging classes.

In Erin’s playlist: Erin loves old-school hip hop. Some of her favorites include Missy Elliot, OutKast, and Frank Ocean!

Lindsay Cole is a recent transplant to Asheville from Louisville, KY by way of Charlotte, NC. She has been teaching group fitness for 8 years ranging from Pure Barre to lagree pilates-based, [solidcore]. Outside of the studio, you can find her reading a book, hiking, or spending time with her husband and dog. She is so excited to be back on the mic with her new SSP fam!

In Lindsay’s playlist: Lindsay builds playlists to keep you moving! Expect to hear Drake, Rihanna, and Rufus Du Sol.

Rebecca Schilling SSP Headshot

Rebecca Schilling

Rebecca Schilling has over two decades of group fitness instructor experience. Motivated to live holistically by her Chronic Lyme Disease, she’s leveraged Pilates, Barre, and Group X to keep moving. When not in the studio, you can find Rebecca hiking or hanging out with her 205 pound pig, Mac! She hopes to inspire you to overcome challenges both mentally and physically through fitness.

In Rebecca’s playlist: Rebecca likes to change it up. She keeps an eclectic selection of remixes on hand for you to move to the beat to. From Sia to David Guetta—her playlists are high energy and aim to keep you motivated while you move!

Bre Emmons
SSP Series Instructor

Bre Emmons found her passion for group fitness when she discovered that intentional movement was the best solution to reduce chronic pain. After decades of enduing joint subluxations and spinal compression from a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos, she was able to stabilize her joints and made significant progress through resistance training at SSP. Bre is now an ACE-certified group fitness instructor who designs her classes to be challenging, but approachable, encouraging, and safe for all bodies.

In Bre’s Playlist: Spicy themed playlists featuring modern hip-hop, old-school throwbacks, and dance remixes from every genre. 

Morgan Woelflein
SSP Series Instructor

Morgan Woelflein is a yoga teacher and women's mentor who aims to help her students feel at home in their bodies. She incorporates deep stretching and calming breath into movement that is both challenging and strengthening. Morgan found a way to merge SSP's strengthening workouts with grounding, rejuvenating yoga-inspired movements to not only provide a great workout, but to leave you feeling relaxed and connected to your body by the end of class.

In Morgan’s playlist: everything from electronic dance music to 2000s pop/rock, including some Taylor Swift and a bit of hip-hop.

Hanna Trinite
SSP Series Instructor

Hanna Trinite Hanna has an extensive background in teaching group fitness, and earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Washington University. Hanna first joined the SSP team when establishing her private Physical Therapy practice, Core Dynamics, within All Things Wellness. She strives to create an environment in which her clients receive the respect and thoughtful care that they deserve. After earning a Lagree Certification, she decided to share her skills and experience with our clients at South Slope Pilates. Hanna's classes are supportive, challenging, and fun. 

In Hanna’s playlist: Hanna enjoys a wide range of music with a particular fondness for millennial hip hop throwbacks.

Ellie Buzyan
SSP Series Instructor

Ellie Buzyan was born and raised right outside of Asheville, NC.
She joined the mindfulness movement in 2014 while taking yoga and pilates classes, developing a passion for exercise and wellness along the way. After earning her Lagree certification in 2023, Ellie found true joy and fulfillment in helping clients find their connection to their mind, body and strength, and showing them that Lagree classes will change your body if you’re consistent. Ellie’s classes are challenging, supportive and educational.

Chase
SSP Series Instructor

Chase Hartley gained his degree in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, then fell into Pilates for cross-training and injury prevention. After experiencing the physical and mental benefits that come with the practice, he dove right into a 600-hour certification. As a natural progression, he continued with a 200-hour yoga teacher training, then Reiki 1 and 2. After years of teaching in NYC and Brooklyn, he moved to Asheville to study Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Chase encourages a fun and inclusive approach, always ensuring a good time with just the right amount of burn.  

In Chase’s playlist: From ABBA to Dua Lipa, Poolside to Bad Bunny, no options are off-limits in Chase’s class!

Jasmin Marvels is a people person of the highest fashion. She shows up at 5 am for Crossfit, and after a busy day of working in insurance and raising her two sweet boys, she loves coming into the studio and chatting with her favorite clients at the reception desk. Jasmin spends her time traveling, shopping, exploring outdoors, and of course taking pilates. 

In Jasmin’s Playlist: Jasmin mixes it up. She enjoys an eclectic mix of pop, jazz, country, rap and R&B. No bluegrass or opera music, though. Don’t even ask.
